Iconic Legend Diana Ross Plans 2 Shows In Riverside County

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — Music fans will have an opportunity to see an iconic performer take the stage later this year in Riverside County.

It was announced Tuesday that Diana Ross is returning to The Show at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage for two nights, Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13. Tickets for both concerts go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, August 8, at aguacalientecasinos.com.

Ross, now 81, last performed at The Show on June 10, 2023, to a sold-out crowd.

Known as the "Queen of Motown Records," Ross was the lead singer of the Supremes, one of the hottest acts of the 1960s and one of the world's best-selling female groups of all time.

Ross left the Supremes in 1970 to embark on a highly successful solo music career. She has shaped the sound of popular music with an iconic songbook that includes hits like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Endless Love,” “I’m Coming Out,” “You Can’t Hurry Love,” and “Upside Down.”

Her career has now spanned more than six decades. She has sold over 100 million records worldwide, earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Billboard magazine named Ross the "female entertainer of the century" in 1976, and she is one of the few recording artists to have two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — one as a solo artist and the other as a member of the Supremes.

Ross's career and life have inspired various works, and she has achieved mainstream success and recognition as an actress. Her first role was her Golden Globe Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated portrayal of Billie Holiday in the film Lady Sings the Blues (1972), which made her the first African-American actress to receive an Academy Award nomination for a debut film performance.

The film's soundtrack became her only solo album to reach the very top of the U.S. Billboard 20 chart.

Ross also starred in two other feature films, Mahogany (1975) and The Wiz (1978), and later appeared in the television films Out of Darkness (1994), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award, and Double Platinum (1999).
