PALM DESERT, CA — Desert Town Hall, a speaker series known to draw influential names to the Coachella Valley, is underway with David Pogue, Michael Oren and Karl Rove on tap.

The four-program series kicked off Jan. 21 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells. Among Stavridis's achievements was spending 37 years in the Navy and rising to the rank of 4-star Admiral. He spoke about the war in Ukraine and geopolitics during the Desert Town Hall event.

The series continues at the resort with David Pogue scheduled to speak Feb. 8 on artificial intelligence, science and technology. Pogue was the New York Times weekly tech columnist from 2000 to 2013.
