Lane Closures Planned For Highway 111 in Palm Desert

From City of Palm Desert:

On Saturday, August 20 at 4 p.m. expect intermittent lane closures from Fred Waring onto westbound Highway 111 for paving of the new free right-hand turn lane. Signals will be operational and motorists will be able to turn right from Fred Waring onto Highway 111 throughout the project.

Paving should be completed by 2 a.m. Sundaybut delays are still possible and motorists are encouraged to allow extra time or use alternate routes.

Also beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 20th, the intersection at Portola Avenue and El Paseo will be fully closed for paving. The intersection is expected to remain fully closed until 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 21st and motorists are encouraged to find alternative routes.
