Man Drowns In Palm Springs Apartment Pool

PALM SPRINGS, CA — A 56-year-old man drowned Wednesday morning in a pool at a Palm Springs apartment complex.

The drowning was reported at about 8 a.m. in the 500 block of Cottonwood Drive, according to the Palm Spring Police Department.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they found the man unresponsive in the pool and attempted to resuscitate him, but he was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

The drowning was being investigated by the Riverside County Coroner's Office as accidental, Sgt. Mike Casavan said.
