The opening of JWB Grill is the final phase of the project that was the first Margaritaville property to open on the West Coast.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs announced Tuesday it has completed the final phase of its West Coast debut with the opening of JWB Grill, the namesake eatery of singer-songwriter James (Jimmy) William Buffett.
The first Margaritaville property to open on the West Coast, Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is a 398-guestroom destination featuring amenities geared toward rest, relaxation and fun. The rebranded property opened in November.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the launch of Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs with the opening of JWB Grill and welcome both locals and guests for laid-back luxury island cuisine in paradise,” said Jeff Ouradnik, director of sales and marketing for Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs. “We look forward to sharing this special gathering place — for everything from celebrating anniversaries to spontaneous everyday moments — as well as eating and drinking timeless cuisine that brings to mind iconic international coastal destinations."

According to Margaritaville officials, "JWB Grill features fine-dining favorites, coastal cravings, prime steaks, and everything in between, all in the California desert. All food is locally sourced and globally influenced, offering a taste into the island life the Margaritaville brand embraces. Serving lunch and dinner, JWB Grill signature dishes include Wagyu Steak Frites, Grilled Cod Fish Tacos, and the JWB Burger."
Global lifestyle and hospitality brand Margaritaville and Davidson Hotels & Resorts partnered with McBride Design to "reimagine" the Palm Springs property to "embody the brand’s passion for fun and escapism" — a family-friendly resort that mixes mid-century Palm Springs aesthetic with a tropical feel, according to Margaritaville officials. The site was the former home of the historic Riviera hotel, a legendary hangout that attracted Rat Pack members.

The newly reopened resort at 1600 N. Indian Canyon Drive is named after Buffett’s sole No. 1 pop hit and has been a branding success for the singer-songwriter. As a result of the deal, Buffett has previously landed on Forbes' list of wealthiest American celebrities.
