Massive 'Run For The Wall' Motorcycle Ride Making Coachella Stop

The organized run honors veterans, their families, and friends and aims to raise awareness of those still missing.

COACHELLA, CA — A massive motorcycle event is coming to the Coachella Valley.

Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. May 15, hundreds of riders will motor to the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians Spotlight 29 Casino back parking area at 46200 Harrison Place in Coachella as part of the "Run For The Wall" cross-country journey.

The organized motorcycle ride honors veterans, their families and friends, and it aims to raise awareness of those still missing — Prisoners of War and Missing in Action.

The run starts in Ontario, with Spotlight 29 Casino as the first stop. Ten days later, the ride ends at the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. Afterward, a three-day run is planned from the U.S. Capitol to the Middle East Conflicts Wall in Marseilles, Illinois. The latter ride is dubbed "Wall to Wall."

The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians said it is "dedicated to supporting retired and active-duty military members and their families in and around the City of Coachella and Twenty-Nine Palms."
