One Mobile Home Destroyed by Fire, Another Damaged, Seven People Dispaced

One mobile home was destroyed by fire Sunday night in Oasis and another was damaged, displacing seven residents, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was reported at 7:19 p.m. Oct. 13 at Oasis Mobile Home Park, 88740 Avenue 70, Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.

Seven engine companies responded and the incident commander reported one unoccupied single-wide mobile home completely destroyed by fire, Hendrickson said.

An adjacent mobile home sustained fire damage and seven residents - two adults, five children - were displaced, Hendrickson said. American Red Cross volunteers were called out to assist.

No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters. Information about the cause of the fire was not disclosed.
