Palm Desert Aquatic Center To Reopen Thursday
The Palm Desert Aquatic Center is reopening for lap swimming only beginning Thursday, Aug. 20.
PALM DESERT, CA—The Palm Desert Aquatic Center announced it is reopening for lap swimming only beginning Thursday, Aug. 20.
Riverside County and state public health guidelines are being closely followed for the health and safety of employees and patrons.
The facility is open with limited hours, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., with 12 p.m. as the last scheduled lap swim time.

- Payment is required at booking time and sessions can be booked up to two days in advance. "No-shows" will be charged. Swim sessions begin on the hour and last 45 minutes. The Lap pool will be limited to 14 lanes, with one person per lane, no exceptions.
- Patrons may arrive up to 10 minutes early before their scheduled session and wait at the designated spaces outside of the facility. The check-in process will begin 5 minutes before each session. A waiver must be completed upon first visit.Face masks are required to be worn at all times, except when in the pool. Only patrons who have booked a session will be permitted into the facility at their allotted time, no exceptions.
- Arrive Showered, Dressed, and Ready to Swim. Locker rooms will be closed and showering will be unavailable. On deck Unisex bathrooms will be open for use. Rental equipment (kickboards, fins, goggles, etc..) will not be available.
- All patrons and employees entering the facility will be asked if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms and have temperatures taken prior to entry. People with temperatures at or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or experiencing symptoms will not be allowed entry.Pool Safety Rules are not optional, and any violations will result in removal.
