Palm Desert - Highway 111 and Fred Waring Signal Work

Workers will be installing new signal poles for much of the day August 11.

PALM DESERT, CA - The traffic signals at Highway 111 and Fred Waring Drive will be in red flash mode for much of the day on Thursday, August 11, to allow workers to install new traffic signal poles as part of the free right turn lane construction project at the busy intersection.

All traffic will temporarily be stopped completely at the intersection for periods of up to 15 minutes while the new signal poles are being raised and put in place.

Four-way stop signs will be in place to control traffic during the work, which is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Significant delays are possible.

Motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes such as Country Club Drive, Bob Hope Drive, and Monterey Avenue during the construction period.
