Palm Desert Home Damaged By Fire

PALM DESERT, CA — A residential fire Monday afternoon in Palm Desert was contained to a garage and attic space, authorities said.

The blaze was reported at 1:13 p.m. in the 20 block of Overland Court.

When Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived at the scene, they found a single-family home with its garage "well-involved" in fire, the agency said.

The home's residents were displaced, but no injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

"The fire was contained to the garage and attic space of the structure," the department reported.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
