Palm Desert Man Arrested for DUI After Single-Vehicle Crash

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA -- A 32-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly crashing his vehicle at a Rancho Mirage intersection while driving drunk.

Ranjeet Minocha of Palm Desert was arrested just after 3 a.m. for crashing his vehicle near the intersection of Highway 111 and Paxton Drive, Palm Desert police Sgt. Joe Ruiz said. When officers arrived, they found a seemingly inebriated Minocha in a single-vehicle crash.

Police did not immediately say what Minocha hit at the intersection.

Minocha was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries, although police confirmed that formal charges will be filed out of custody due to his injuries.
