Palm Desert Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Filming Child In Restroom
The investigation began when an 11-year-old boy told deputies he had been recorded while using a restroom.

PALM DESERT, CA — A Palm Desert man has been arrested after he was accused twice of filming minors in a restroom.
Joseph Seiders, 44, of Palm Desert, is facing charges of possessing child pornography, annoying/molesting a child, invasion of privacy and attempted invasion of privacy, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The investigation began on Monday, April 7 after Palm Desert deputies were dispatched to the 73000 block of Dinah Shore Drive, where an 11-year-old boy told officials that an unknown man recorded him on a cell phone while he was using the restroom.

On April 9, deputies got a second report at the same location, where an employee told police the man had entered and exited the restroom with underage boys at the business, authorities said.
Police identified the suspect in both incidents as Seiders.

The Palm Desert Station served search warrants for his residence, vehicle and cell phone, which police said turned up evidence implicating him in both instances along with additional crimes.
Seiders was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
