Palm Desert’s Hannah Albert Balances Fierce Play With A 4.2 GPA
The senior standout earned Student Athlete of the Week for leading her team to the CIF playoffs while maintaining top marks in class.

When beach volleyball season ramps up, the energy on and off the court can run high — and sometimes tense. That’s where Palm Desert High School senior Hannah Albert stands out. She’s the one lightening the mood on long bus rides, keeping her teammates laughing and showing up ready to compete. Her leadership and steady performance helped drive the Aztecs to a CIF playoff appearance, and her all-in attitude made a lasting impression throughout the season.
Albert approaches both volleyball and academics with the same mindset: give it everything you’ve got. That approach has earned her a 4.2 GPA and the honor of being named KESQ’s Student Athlete of the Week. She’s just as intentional in the classroom as she is on the court, using her time in high school to prepare for what comes next — and setting a strong example for her peers in the process.
That next chapter will take her to the University of Utah, where she plans to pursue a degree in nursing through one of the top programs in the country. Volleyball may still be part of the picture — she’s exploring opportunities to connect with the school’s beach team and continue playing at the college level. Whether in scrubs or sand, Albert is ready to show up the same way she always has: with grit, joy and a plan.
The future is certainly looking bright in Palm Desert! If you know another Star Student making an impact, nominate them today to be featured on Patch!
