Palm Desert's First Artwalk Of 2025 To Kick Off Friday

PALM DESERT, CA — Artwalk on El Paseo is rolling out its first event of 2025 in Palm Desert this Friday, offering residents the chance to explore more than a dozen local art galleries, meet local creatives and enjoy several art mediums.

The Artwalk takes place every first Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in Palm Desert at El Paseo, which has long been hailed as an art hub with a large variety of galleries showcasing visual art, according to Brian Lee Boyce, Skidmore Contemporary Art's gallery assistant director.

This Friday, locals will be able to explore 14 unique galleries, walking from one to the next throughout the evening. El Paseo Cruise Night will also be going on, allowing attendees to check out classic cars as they circulate the block.

Visitors can check out A Gallery Fine Art, which holds art by both established and emerging artists. Over at Melissa Morgan Fine Art, guests will find works by contemporary painters, sculptures, photographers and mixed-media artists. Those interested in pieces from earlier periods should head over to George STern Fine Arts.

El Paseo's newest gallery, Skidmore Contemporary Art, was formerly based in Santa Monica. It features realism and photorealism in oil on canvas, Boyce said.

Between gallery visits, Boyce recommended checking out the Melissa Morgan Sculpture Garden.

At next month's, on Feb. 7, 18 public sculptures selected by Palm Desert's Cultural Arts Committee will be unveiled in the garden.
