Palm Springs International Film Festival Extends Into La Quinta Venue
The full lineup for the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival will be announced in late November.
LA QUINTA, CA — Organizers of the Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) have announced that the upcoming 36th annual event will include screenings in La Quinta.
Festival staff confirmed Thursday evening that some films will be screened at the Cinemark Century La Quinta during the first two weekends of January.
The festival will run from Jan. 2 to Jan. 13, with "Closing Night" on the penultimate day and "Best of the Festival" screenings on the final day.

"It is a proud moment for us to bring the Palm Springs International Film Festival experience to La Quinta, furthering our reach across the Coachella Valley," said festival chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi in a statement. "By adding new venues like Cinemark Century La Quinta, we are ensuring that more of our valley residents can participate in the festival and enjoy the world of cinema."
Organizers have made similar expansions through the region in the past. The Palm Springs International Film Society held a student screening event at Indio High School, which also hosted students from Desert Hot Springs and other parts of the Coachella Valley. Cathedral City's Mary Pickford is D'Place has also been part of the official festival in previous years.

As an official venue for PSIFF 2025, the Cinemark Century La Quinta joins the company of the Mary Pickford is D'Place, Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum, Camelot Theatres at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, the Palm Canyon Theater, the Richards Center for the Arts at Palm Springs High School and the Regal Cinemas Palm Springs.
"We are excited to welcome the Palm Springs International Film Festival to La Quinta," La Quinta Mayor Linda Evans said. "La Quinta prides itself on preserving and promoting its deep roots in art and culture, and the festival's desire to expand across the [Coachella] Valley is a testament to providing world-class entertainment experiences to our vibrant cultural scene."
