Person Killed When Struck By Train

One person was killed when they were struck by a train in Indio, a Riverside County Fire Department spokesman said early  Sunday.

The incident was reported at 11:11 p.m. Saturday at Indio Boulevard and Tamarisk Avenue, said Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Annas said.

He said no other information about the victim was available.

Indio police were investigating, Annas said.
