Police Blotter For Feb. 4-6 Includes Vandalism, DUI Arrests

A review of reported crimes out of the Palm Desert Police Department, which is staffed by sheriff's deputies. Several shoplifting arrests also top the list.

Here's the blotter from the Palm Desert Police Department for Feb. 4-6:

Friday, Feb. 4

3:30 a.m.: Officers arrested Monica Gonzalez, 32 of Palm Desert for driving under the influence at Highway 111 and Sage Lane.

4:20 p.m.: Officers responded to Pearson Architects, 74260 Highway 111, and arrested a 17-year-old juvenile from Palm Desert for vandalism.

5:40 p.m.: Officers responded to the JC Pennys at 72900 Highway 111 and arrested Joshua Gilchrist, 22, of Coachella for shoplifting.

7:41 p.m.: Officer Taylor responded to the Sears at 72880 Highway 111 and arrested a 14-year-old juvenile from La Quinta for shoplifting.

Saturday, Feb. 5

12:11 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Grapevine Street at Ryway Place and arrested Leann Fahrion, 29, of Thousand Palms, for two warrants.

4:40 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Portola Avenue at Highway 111 and arrested Gustavo Robledo, 20, of Indio for driving under the influence. Myra Tovar, 24, of Coachella was arrested for a DUI warrant.

5 p.m.: Officers responded to the Macy’s at 72840 Highway 111 and arrested Emilio Hernandez, 18, of Indio for shoplifting.

10:01 p.m.: Officers conducted a pedestrian check at San Pablo Avenue and Santa Rosa Way and arrested Sylvestre Medrano Meza, 40, of Thermal, for a battery warrant.

Sunday, Feb. 6

12:08 a.m.: Officers responded to a man down at Fred Waring Drive and Deep Canyon Road and arrested Raul Felix Espinoza, 32, of Indio for public intoxication.

5:31 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 111 and Deep Canyon Road and arrested Andy Justin White, 29, of Desert Hot Springs for driving under the influence.

7:55 p.m.: Officers responded to the area of Ocotillo Lane and El Paseo regarding a purse snatching. A Hispanic or white male adult approximately 20 years old wearing a black jacket with white on it, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and medium build, ran alongside an elderly female and grabbed her purse off her shoulder.
