Richard DeSantis Earns Star At Palm Springs Walk Of Fame
The famed founder of Event Management Productions who worked with Betty Ford, Hubert Givenchy and Frank Sinatra was awarded the 451st star.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — A star was unveiled Tuesday on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars honoring the founder of Event Management Productions, Richard DeSantis.
The 451st star on the walk was unveiled in front of an audience of about 50 people at the Downtown Palm Springs Park, according to the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce.
"I have been producing events and shows all over the world for well over 40 years, but now, to be the recipient of my own star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars is truly humbling," DeSantis said in a statement.

DeSantis began his business over 30 years ago. He has created 329 events, mostly to raise funds for charitable organizations in the Coachella Valley, according to the chamber.
He has worked with celebrities such as Frank and Barbara Sinatra, Hubert Givenchy and Betty Ford.

"Even with all of the magic and fantasy I've been involved with, I cannot believe I am now part of the incredible list of folks who 'shine' on the streets of Palm Springs," DeSantis added.
