Rollover Crash Sparks 38-Acre Fire In Riverside County
Firefighters remained at the scene overnight for containment.

THERMAL, CA — A vehicle that rolled over and became engulfed in flames ignited a 38-acre vegetation fire in Thermal, which resulted in minor injuries for a firefighter, officials said.
The fire was reported at 5:25 p.m. Friday just northeast of state Route 86 and Avenue 70, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The agency said crews and additional resources were called as the fire quickly grew, but crews were able to stop the progress of the fire at 38 acres.
Firefighters remained at the scene overnight for containment.
