Two Arrested In Coachella Armed Robbery

One suspect is also facing a child endangerment​ charge.

COACHELLA, CA — Two people were arrested Wednesday in connection to an armed robbery that happened June 26 in an unincorporated area of Thermal and the City of Coachella.

According to an arrest report from the Riverside Sheriff's Department, the robbery happened in the 85200 block of Cairo Avenue in Coachella.

On Wednesday, Hernan Bustamante, 28, and Joel Leal, 26, both of Coachella, were arrested and charged in connection to the robbery.

Bustamante was arrested for armed robbery, conspiracy, possession of a loaded firearm, grand theft and child endangerment. Leal was arrested for armed robbery, conspiracy, felon in possession of a firearm and grand theft.

Bustamante and Leal were both booked into the county jail.
