United Airlines Announces Nonstop Service Between Palm Springs, DC

The service is the first connection ever between Washington, D.C., and Palm Springs.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — United Airlines announced Tuesday it will launch a nonstop flight this winter between Palm Springs International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport.

The daily trips will run from December 19, 2024, through April 30, 2025. Departure time from Washington, D.C., to Palm Springs will be 9 a.m. Eastern, and from Palm Springs to D.C. 1 p.m. Pacific.

According to Patrick Quayle, United’s senior vice president of Global Network Planning and Alliances, the service will be the first connection ever between Washington, D.C., and Palm Springs.

"We pride ourselves in offering unique, world-class destinationsand are excited to offer our customers more service to beautiful Greater Palm Springs," Quayle said.

Harry Barrett Jr., PSP’s executive director of aviation said the new route significantly enhances East Coast connectivity.

"This opens up a world of opportunities for both leisure and business travel, further establishing PSP as a world-class travel hub and driving regional economic growth," Barrett said.

United will serve six cities with 14 daily flights from Palm Springs this winter. In addition to Washington D.C., United also serves Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago.
