WildLights Returns To Living Desert Zoo With 3 Million Holiday Lights
The Living Desert's WildLights returns with millions of lights, free photos with Santa, animal sightings and festive holiday displays.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — WildLights, the Coachella Valley’s longtime holiday tradition at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, has returned for the season with more than 3 million lights illuminating the grounds.
Presented by the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation, the annual event invites visitors to experience the zoo “in a whole new light” through awe-inspiring displays, walk-through exhibits, and a towering 30-foot Christmas tree on select nights through Dec. 30.
Guests can take free photos with Santa through Dec. 24, and with the Grinch from Dec. 26 to 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. The event also includes an illuminated stroll through the zoo’s African Safari section, where visitors may spot animals such as rhinos, giraffes, zebras and African painted dogs.
