YMCA of the Desert’s 29th Annual Hoedown at Sundown Raises Over $223,000
The Hoedown at Sundown raised funds to support programming at 42 desert city locations.

PALM DESERT, CA - The 29th Annual Family YMCA Hoedown at Sundown was a tremendous success this year, raising over $223,000. The monies will support a variety of Family YMCA of the Desert’s programming that is offered in 42 locations in our desert cities, serving over 3,500 youth daily.
The event took place again this year atAgua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage on Saturday, November 5, with 340 attendees participating in the fun-filled event. Patrick Evans, host of CBS2’s Eye on the Desert, emceed the exciting live auction which raised $37,000 of the total proceeds, while the silent auction garnered $50,000. The event featured a country-style Western dinner, live entertainment along with line dancing and instruction, and interactive games such as calf roping, horse racing, a boot toss and more.
