Here are the top three stories in Palm Springs today:

  1. A rare avalanche fell down a mountain over Palm Springs over the weekend. A group of friends driving along Interstate 10 this past weekend saw the avalanche run down Mount San Jacinto and caught it on camera. This came on the heels of the wintry weather Southern California has been experiencing — weather that is expected to begin warming up today. (KOST 1035)
  2. Palm Springs native Jenny Slatten is still going strong with the beau she met on 90 Day Fiance. Slatten and her husband Sumit have faced backlash on their 30-year age difference — namely, Sumit's family. The reality TV star shared in an Instagram caption, "We have each other and we're happy together ❤️who cares what anyone thinks." (People.com)
  3. Palm Springs-based DAP Health will take control of Borrego Health's clinics. As of Tuesday, a bankruptcy judge approved DAP Health's acquisition of Borrego Health. According to the press release, the next step in the process is for leaders to collaborate and ensure a smooth transition that "does not interrupt patient care or team members' careers."
