Here are the top three stories today in Palm Springs:
- The Bon Jovi Tribute concert has been postponed for the second time due to forecasted rain. The original date for the concert was Mar. 1 which was then pushed back to the following Wednesday which has now been delayed again. This free concert series paying tribute to music icons takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at the Palm Springs Downtown Park. The series will end the first Wednesday of May with a tribute to Journey. (Patch)
- Palm Springs artist Joe Dietl has painted many iconic Palm Springs locations for his new show, "My Palm Springs," and will be announcing his first solo art show with an opening reception on Thursday, Mar. 16 at the Dietl Art Gallery. According to his website, his show will feature 10 new pieces that represent "Iconic Palm Springs Locale" and will be highlighting the special meaning of each locale to himself, his husband, and the gay community. Dietl will also be showing his gallery as part of the Dessert Open Studios on Saturday and Sunday as well as the following weekend from Mar. 25-26. The show will be available through May, and interested patrons can schedule an appointment to view the gallery. (Desert Sun)
