- Every Wednesday starting at 10:00 a.m., families can come to the Palm Springs Public Library for a free pack of diapers and baby wipes courtesy of the Baby2Baby organization. These supplies are on a first-come, first-served basis once a week to assist families struggling to make ends meet and needing a little assistance. - Many crews went into action earlier this week after a hiker called 911 on Tuesday afternoon to report that he was lost near the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The Riverside Sheriff's Office reported the hiker was not injured and had food and water, but due to the weather, it was difficult to safely reach him. A crew went searching Tuesday night and again Wednesday morning before they were able to finally reach him at 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. After being lost for almost 24 hours, the hiker was transported to a local hospital with just minor injuries. (kuna noticias y kuna radio)
