  1. Nearby Desert Hot Springs police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday that left one male deceased at the scene. Police responded to a call around 2:50 p.m. in the 13-500 block of Verbena Drive near Ironwood Drive. A white sedan was found stopped on the side of the road with the unresponsive driver with gunshot wounds still inside the vehicle. No additional information has been released about the incident at the time but police ask anyone with any information to contact Det. Jason Kupka, Det. Celia Romero, or anonymously at Crime Stoppers. (Desert Sun)
  2. Some Palm Springs residents are concerned about potential flooding due to the snow in the mountains melting too quickly. Residents remembered the Valentine's Day flood in 2019 that caused a lot of damage and even evacuations in areas of Palm Springs. Director of Public Works David McAbee is currently monitoring the situation and potential flooding; the hopes are the snow will gradually melt and not become an issue. However, worst-case scenario, the city is prepared and will do everything to ensure the residents are safe and aware of the situation. (News Channel 3)
  3. Palm Springs police are searching for a woman who fired a gun while attempting to rob One Plant Dispensary on Wednesday morning. Police responded to the reports of shots fired in the dispensary around 9:30 a.m. when a woman in a mask fired shots at the feet of a security guard who wrestled the gun from the suspect before she fled the scene. The police department is now processing the gun and is describing the suspect as a five-foot-eight woman with red hair, a thin build, and aged mid-20s. Officials are asking the public to contact the Palm Springs Investigations Division or leave an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers with any further information. (News Channel 3)
