They also announced their participation in the Wyland Foundation's National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation which serves as a friendly competition between cities nationwide to see who can conserve more water and other natural resources.   • On Monday, Apr. 3, the Palm Springs Police Department will be serving ice cream cones all day long at Ben & Jerry's in honor of annual Free Cone Day.
