Battery, Attempted Burglary Incidents Reported At Stanford University
Two incidents occurred at Stanford University over the weekend; one an attempted burglary and the other a battery.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- Two incidents occurred at Stanford University over the weekend; one an attempted burglary and the other a battery.
The battery was reported early Sunday morning on the campus of Stanford University. Police said the battery occurred at about 1 a.m. May 7 on the east side of campus. Criminal battery is defined as unlawful physical use of force against a person.
Police described the suspect as an unshaven man about 20 years old, and about 6 feet 1 inch tall. He was wearing a red and white Cleveland Cavaliers jersey, according to authorities.

No other details about the incident were given by authorities.
The day before, on Saturday morning, a Stanford student reported an attempted burglary to university police.

Police said the university's department of public safety was told of an attempted burglary that occurred May 6 on the first floor of Roble Hall.
The student heard noises at his window. The student went to the window and saw a person holding the window screen open. The suspect ran away when he was spotted. Police are describing the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 30s with short dark hair and a heavy build. He was about 5 feet 9 inches tall.
