Cooling Centers Open In Santa Clara County Amid Friday Heat Wave

The following cooling centers are open in Santa Clara County on Friday.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — People seeking a reprieve from the heat will be able to at various Santa Clara County locations on Friday, as temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s and possibly over 100 degrees.

Parts of the South Bay will go under an excessive heat watch, the National Weather Service said.

Inland communities throughout most of the Bay Area will be under an excessive heat watch during daytime hours Friday, when temperatures expected to top out at 103 degrees, the NWS Bay Area said.
