Fatal Hit-and-run Bicycle Versus Minivan Collision In Sunnyvale
The adult male, who was riding his bicycle on the Central Expressway near Pajaro Avenue was transported to Stanford where he died.

SUNNYVALE, CA -- A man riding his bicycle was fatally struck by a minivan that fled the scene Saturday afternoon, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
The collision occurred where the Central Expressway meets Pajaro Avenue. Emergency personnel responded to the 1:40 p.m. call and found an injured bicycle rider in the roadway. He was transported to Stanford Medical Center where he died.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until it is verified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's office.

The vehicle that slammed into the cyclist is being described as a 2004-06 Toyota Sienna minivan, maroon or red in color with damage to its front windshield and front fender damage. A vehicle of interest was captured on surveillance footage in the area.
