Palo Alto Police Use Vehicle Image To Catch Suspect
The suspect is wanted in connection with an incident in which he jumped out of his car in traffic to grope a female pedestrian, police said.

PALO ALTO, CA — Police are releasing an image of the vehicle driven by a suspect who is being accused of jumping out of his car and sexually battering a female pedestrian on June 24. The suspect fled and remains at large.
Dispatch received a call Monday at 9:03 p.m. that indicated a sex crime had just occurred in the 1200 block of University Avenue.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a male suspect driving eastbound on University Avenue stopped his vehicle at Marlowe Street and exited. He approached a woman in her 20s walking on University Avenue from behind and grabbed her breasts, buttocks and groin area over her clothing. The victim chased after the suspect, but he ran back to the vehicle he was driving and fled westbound on University Avenue.

The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic or Polynesian male between 23 to 30 years
old. He is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds. He was wearing a T-shirt, cargo shorts and a baseball hat.
The suspect vehicle is a newer-model white Audi A4 sedan with a sunroof and California license plates.
