MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in their investigation in the thefts of three French Bulldog puppies over the past few weeks, the Mountain View Police Department said in a news release.

The notoriously pricy puppies were taken from a home on the 800 block of El Camino Real, police said.

Two of the puppies were snatched from the backyard, and a third was taken from the home when someone broke in and stole the dog.

The thefts occurred after two men approached a neighbor recently and inquired about their dog, which is also a French Bulldog.

“The neighbor found their behavior odd and gave us a call,” police said in a statement.

Police said the men were between the ages of 25 and 30. One had an unknown tattoo on his upper right shoulder and had braces.

“French bulldogs are incredibly expensive pets and given the propensity of news over the last several months of several high-profile thefts, we are asking our community for help in identifying the suspects and finding the puppies so we can bring them home safe,” police said.
