Residents Flee 3-Alarm House Fire In Palo Alto

First responders said the fire in the 1100 block of Bryant Avenue was coming from the home's attic and walls.

PALO ALTO - Firefighters Saturday afternoon extinguished a three-alarm fire that burned part of a Palo Alto home.

At 11:31 a.m., fire officials received a report of a fire at a two-story home in the 1100 block of Bryant Avenue, according to Deputy Fire Chief Catherine Capriles.

When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke coming from inside the house, described in a tweet as a “large, old home.”

Upon further investigation, firefighters determined the fire was coming from the home’s attic and interior walls, Capriles said.

Firefighters were eventually able to extinguish the blaze. The home’s residents were able to make it out of the house safely.

No injuries were reported and the cause for the fire is under investigation, according to Capriles.

Firefighters from Santa Clara, Mountain View and Sunnyvale were mobilized to help fight the fire.
