Stanford Nurse Reunites With NICU Baby Who Is Now A Doctor
Nurse Vilma Wong said she recognized Brandon Seminatore's name. He just happened to be a baby she cared for 28 years ago.
PALO ALTO, CA -- Two photos shared by the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto went viral recently when it was announced that a nurse reunited with a baby she cared for 28 years ago.
The Facebook post said Vilma Wong recognized Brandon Seminatore's name when he was doing the rounds at the hospital. Seminatore, who is a pediatric resident, was born nearly three decades ago at just 29 weeks old and stayed at the neonatal intensive care unit, the hospital said.
The hospital shared photos of Wong holding Seminatore 28 years ago, and a photo of the two now.

The Facebook post, which received more than 34,000 likes and was shared 4,500 times, exploded with positive comments, including from parents who experienced Vilma's care firsthand.
"Vilma was my daughter's primary nurse, I just simply love her!!! She has a very special place in our hearts!!!" wrote Monica Rodriguez Regalado.

"We are so grateful for Vilma! She was my daughter's nurse just this past year. Her love and dedication to all the NICU babies is incredible. She really goes above and beyond, providing the absolute best care. Thank you so much Vilma!" Heather Rogan wrote.
While, one person said she was inspired to be a nurse by her NICU nurse.
"My Nicu nurse led me to become a nurse 10 years ago she was at my college graduation," Jenny Raduenz wrote.
