Suspect Sought In Peninsula Sexual Assault Of Elderly Woman

The incident occurred Saturday at a Los Altos care facility, according to police.

LOS ALTOS, CA — Authorities are seeking the public’s help identifying and locating a man suspected of sexually assaulting an elderly woman over the weekend at a care facility, Los Altos police said.

Officers at around 5:45 p.m. Saturday responded to a local care facility regarding a sexual battery incident that had just occurred, police said.

Investigators determined the suspect gained unauthorized access to the facility and proceeded to assault the victim, police said.

He fled on a bicycle, according to police.

Authorities have released photos of the suspect taken from video surveillance.

The suspect is described as a thinly built, black male, possibly in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5-foot-8 to 6-foot in height with a shaved head.

The suspect wore blue or black athletic pants and a blue or black hooded sweatshirt or jacket. He is seen in the photos holding the handlebar of what appears to be a dark-colored flat-bar road bike with disc brakes.
