United Nations Association Film Festival Continues In Palo Alto
Several screenings of documentaries related to the theme of "Moving Forward" are scheduled in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto and Stanford.
PALO ALTO, CA — The 24th United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF) continues this week in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto and Stanford, with several screenings of documentary films related to this year’s theme of “Moving Forward.”
Sessions will be held Monday, Saturday and Sunday at Mitchell Park Community Center. Tuesday and Friday’s sessions will be at the Li Ka Shing Center at Stanford Medical School. On Wednesday, the Cooley Landing Park and Education Center in East Palo Alto and the Roxie Theater in San Francisco will split the sessions.
UNAFF is the oldest solely documentary film festival in the United States, and this year’s theme of “Moving Forward” continues its celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, according to UNAFF’s website.

The festival closes Oct. 31 with an awards ceremony and closing night reception at 9 p.m. at the Mitchell Park Community Center.
