PALO ALTO, CA — A woman in her 70s scared off four burglars who entered her home in Palo Alto by smashing a sliding glass door on Friday evening, according to the Palo Alto Police Department.
The woman told police that she heard noises inside her home in the 3500 block of Emma Court, so she opened the bedroom door to ask who was there. One of the burglars said, “There’s someone in there!” and the four men exited the home and drove away, according to police.
Surveillance footage was “not of sufficient quality” to identify the suspects, who remain at-large. They fled in a black 2013 to 2016 Mercedes C-class four-door sedan with no front license plate, police said.
