Authorities Investigate Reported Plane Crash Off South Bay Coast
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews are investigating unconfirmed reports of a plane crash off the coast.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — The Los Angeles County Fire Department is investigating a report of a small plane crash off the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes.
The fire department said the crash was reported Wednesday at about 5 p.m. in the Portuguese Bend area about a mile off the coast.
According to authorities, the report was unconfirmed and crews didn't locate signs of any downed aircraft. Search efforts concluded by 6:30 p.m. and no plane was found.
