Brush Fire Contained In Palos Verdes Estates
A brush fire broke out in the 2700 block of Paseo Del Mar in Palos Verdes Estates, but firefighters quickly doused the flames.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — A brush fire broke out early Friday morning in the 2700 block of Paseo Del Mar in Palos Verdes Estates, burning less than two acres, but firefighters quickly doused it.
Fire and police officials were on scene of the fire, which was reported just after 6 a.m. There was a road closure in the area as firefighters battled the blaze.
About 10 minutes after the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the fire, a fire helicopter arrived on scene to aid firefighters on the ground.

By about 7:30 a.m., the fire was 100 percent contained. As of 8:30 a.m., authorities were still on scene for "crowd control and trying to get everybody out of the area," a PVEPD spokesperson told Patch.
"If you have friends or family in the Lunada Bay area, the fire is contained, no structures were damaged, and all people and pets are safe. But there remains a large police and fire presence on scene," the PVEPD Facebook page said.
