Injured Hiker Falls From Palos Verdes Trail

Authorities helped an injured hiker who fell from a trail in Palos Verdes Friday.

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — An injured hiker fell off a cliffside trail in Palos Verdes Estates Friday morning, authorities said.

Lifeguard, police and fire officials responded to the area of Epping Road and Paseo Del Mar about 8 a.m. Friday, according to Palos Verdes Estates officials.

The person was found injured, treated and taken to a hospital via helicopter, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department Lifeguard Division.

The rescue was completed and the area was cleared by 9:30 a.m. No further information was released.
