Expect Traffic Delays During Palos Verdes Marathon
The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is warning PV residents of delays from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday's Palos Verdes Marathon is expected to cause delays from early morning to late afternoon as more than 2,000 expected runners descend on The Hill.
The City of Rancho Palos Verdes website cautioned residents of possible traffic delays from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
An expected 2,500 total runners will come to the city for the marathon. Permits will allow a 5K race (300-500 participants), Half Marathon (1,500 participants) and Marathon (300-500 participants) on streets in the city.

The start and finish line, registration area and shuttle drop-off/pick-up area will be located in the Point Vicente Fishing Access parking lot area adjacent to Palos Verdes Drive South at the northwest corner of .
While roads should be re-opened by 3 p.m. the day of the marathon, cleanup could last until 5 p.m. The race is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

later in the weekend, on Sunday, as the Los Angeles Ride for Kids takes over some streets in Palos Verdes and the South Bay.
Marathon participant parking locations (open 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.):
- Promenade on the Peninsula parking structure
- Salvation Army property on Hawthorne Boulevard
- RPV City Hall
