Firefighters Rescue Two People Stuck On Cliff In Palos Verdes

LA County firefighters, lifeguards rescued two people stuck on a cliff near the ocean in Palos Verdes Estates, officials said.

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — Los Angeles County firefighters and lifeguards were rescuing two people who were stuck on a cliff in Palos Verdes Estates Monday night, officials said.

The rescue was reported at 6:38 p.m. at 1404 Paseo Del Mar, near the Palos Verdes Estates Shoreline Preserve and Blufftop Trail, according to the Los Angeles County fire department.

The two people are possibly teenage boys who are not injured but stuck mid-cliff off the Pacific Ocean side, fire officials said. It's unclear how old they are.

A helicopter arrived for a hoist rescue, along with Los Angeles County lifeguards, but fire officials said the two were helped to reach the trail again about 6:50 p.m.
