Free Document Shredding in RPV Saturday

A 'document-shredding day' will be held Oct. 1 at City Hall.

Rancho Palos Verdes residents with documents that need shredding can take everything to today to have it done for free by the city.

EDCO, collection services for RPV, will offer residents of the city free document-shredding during an event from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of City Hall.

The event is for residential customers of EDCO and UWS. It will not be open to businesses and non-residents.

Acceptable items include, payroll stubs, bank and credit card statements, medical forms, tax documents, legal documents, or any type of personnal or confidential information.

There will be a limit of three bankers boxes (10”x12”x15”) per household. No binders will be accepted. Remove documents from three-ring binders. Paper in bags will also be accepted.

EDCO will also collect obsolete or unwanted electronics from residents.
