Helicopter Aids Search for Trespasser

Deputies from the Lomita Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department used a helicopter Sunday evening in a search for a possible trespasser in the 3700 block of Palos Verdes Drive North.

According to Deputy Ashly Castro, a resident called authorities shortly before 8:45 p.m. to say she saw someone in her backyard.

The helicopter, which had its spotlight trained on the area being searched, left shortly after 9 p.m.

Castro said deputies did not find any sign of a trespasser.
