Labor Day Closings in Palos Verdes

In observance of Labor Day, all municipal offices, banks and post offices will be closed Monday.

The American stock market will be closed, but most foreign markets will be open.

Here are more closures to be mindful of in Palos Verdes:

There will be no street sweeping and no trash pickup on Monday. Collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed one day.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District schools will be closed. All Palos Verdes Library District libraries will be closed on Monday.

And in case you're headed to one of the Beach Cities for the holiday and plan on taking public transportation to get around, be mindful of these Beach Cities Transit detour routes, according to the Beach Cities Transit website:

Northbound Line 109 from Harbor Drive (Redondo Beach)

• Left on Gould Avenue
• Right on Manhattan Avenue
• Resume Line 109 route

Southbound Line 109 from Manhattan Avenue (Manhattan Beach)
