Man Stuck In Cove Rescued In Rancho Palos Verdes
The 23-year-old was in Sacred Cove just as high tide started to rise, officials said.
PALOS VERDES, CA — Authorities rescued a young man who was trapped inside a sea cave in Rancho Palos Verdes Thursday night. Los Angeles County Fire officials responded to Sacred Cove around 8 p.m., ABC 7 reported.
Emergency crews gathered near Peppertree Drive and Palos Verdes Drive before a rescue crew descended to the cove and found the man suffering from minor injuries, Fox 11 reported.
Crews secured the man before he was raised into the helicopter and transported to safety, the news station reported.

Officials told ABC 7 the man was in the cave just as the high tide started to rise. Locals told the news station this rescue was a reminder of how dangerous the waters can be.
"There's been a lot of incidents and I guess people just don't understand and keep going down there," said Torrance man Hector Franco.
