No Boat Found During Coast Search In Palos Verdes
Neither a boat nor wreckage were found during an ocean search in Palos Verdes Tuesday.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A search was called off after neither a boat nor wreckage were found along the coast near Rancho Palos Verdes, officials said Wednesday.
A boat sent a distress call Tuesday about hitting rocks but a search from multiple law enforcement agencies found nothing.
The search included the Los Angeles County Fire Department's air operations, U.S. Coast Guard, Baywatch Cabrillo and search and rescue from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

As of 1 p.m., no boat was found, Coast Guard officials reported.
Officials Tuesday said it could have been a false alarm, Josh Haskell of ABC7 reported.

Officials stayed in the area Tuesday afternoon to continue the search but it's unclear what time the search ended.
