Voters will also go to the polls to vote on Measure B, which would require large hotels and other hospitality businesses with 50 or more employees in Rancho Palos Verdes to establish a $15 minimum wage with a $1/hour increase in salary every year until 2022. Measure B is sponsored by Unite Here Local 11.

The measure would also require hotels to have panic buttons, keep detailed employment records and get written permission from employees before exceeding a cap on hours worked in a day, Daily Breeze reported. All five City Council candidates are opposed to the measure.
