Several Residential Burglaries Reported In Palos Verdes Area: Police

Several residential burglaries were reported this spring in Palos Verdes, according to police.

PALOS VERDES, CA — Authorities are sharing more information about a series of residential burglaries in the Palos Verdes area this spring.

The residential burglaries were reported as early as March 19 and authorities in the area are working together after experiencing similar trends.

"The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department wants to share some recent crime data that could
be relevant to you or loved ones," according to a statement from the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department. "While the City of Palos Verdes Estates is an extremely safe city, within the last few weeks, we received multiple crime reports in the same general area and wanted to alert the community."

The investigation is ongoing.

"Evidence and leads from our cases and theirs are shared to create a larger regional picture of crime," police said. "Our detectives are working hard to process evidence and work leads, and our patrol officers proactively patrol the City to deter and detect criminal activity."

The following residential burglaries were reported:

  • 1400 block of Via Coronel, occurred while the residents were not home between Saturday, March 19th and Wednesday, March 23rd (R1 on map). Access by breaking rear window on 2nd story.
  • 900 block of Paseo La Cresta, occurred while residents were not home between Monday, March 21st and Wednesday, March 23rd (R2 on map). Access by breaking rear 2nd story window.
  • 1400 block of Via Castilla, occurred while residents were not home between Tuesday, March 22nd and Thursday, March 24th (R3 on map). Access by breaking rear 2nd story window.
  • Stolen Vehicle 1400 block of Via Coronel, occurred on Thursday, March 24th at approximately 7:30 am. Taken was a 2020 Ford Pick-up truck. (V1 on map) Vehicle was unlocked with keys in vehicle.
